Lent: Begin All Over

Apr 17, 2018

We are a little more than half way through Lent. This is a good time to review our experience of Lent thus far.

What did you decide you wanted to do this Lent? Read each day’s meditation in the devotional booklet or The Word among Us? Look each day at Best Lent Ever at  www.dynamiccatholic.com? Go to daily Mass? Whatever it might be, how have you done?

How you have done only you and God can answer, but I can tell you that if you have not done what you wanted to do or have not done it consistently, start now. Start today. God’s grace is not on a time clock. There are always graces in prayer.

There is no reason we cannot begin today or begin again today. Three good weeks of Lent can be a valuable time of spiritual growth.

Remember that “lent” comes from an Old English word meaning “springtime.” It won’t be long now when we see the grass greening-up and buds on a few of the trees. Can we all make a commitment that come Holy Week and Easter we will all be “greening-up” with new growth.
